Beautiful sunny day ... wish I was at home...

When the weather is lovely like this I wish I was at home and working in the garden. Its beautiful outside!

Bella and Ralph literally live the dream! They play in the garden, squeeze in a spot of sunbathing and then take a nap on the sofa after a spot of lunch! Lucky little devils!! I Wish I was a chi chi ... xx

Good morning....

Morning all,

Happy Wednesday!

Did anyone else find it hard to wake up this morning? Bella struggled... lol..

I can not wait to see my friend tonight, we are off to bingo and we absolutely love it!

We have a good old catch up, sometimes, such a good natter that we have actually had to change bingo halls.  After the last time, playing the entire set of books back to front....and the entire bingo hall laughed at us!  Lucky we didn't shout out Bingo as we were only 1 number away on one card (completely the wrong card though)  Haven't been in months so we are very excited. My friend is even bringing her lucky shell :-) we hope we win!

Also, its the last night of the fireworks in Great Yarmouth tonight so if you go along, enjoy!!

Hope you all have a great day...xxx

4 day work week...

I love a bank holiday weekend... and we get a short, 4 day, work week!!!

Why is it, that every week we start Monday, miserable and shattered! By Friday we are literally running out of the door ready to start our weekend! Its really funny as its the same process every week lol...! xx

My Hero...

I don't often mention my partner but on Sunday he really made me proud!!

We were working in the garden when we saw our elderly neighbour climb up onto his roof to fix a leak.

As we watched in horror my poor neighbour fell straight off the roof onto the concrete paddock.

We ran round to help and my partner tied a towel so tight around the top of the wound on his leg that he stopped the blood from pumping out.  The paramedic came round to thank him afterwards and to explain that if the gentleman had lost anymore blood, he would of gone into shock and quite possibly had a heart attack and could of died.

She basically thanked him for saving his life! I was very proud of how he dealt with the situation!!

He literally is my hero!! Much love xx

I love my new wicker chair £2!!!

Hi,

Yesterday, once my partner and I had completed all the chores in the garden, we managed to have an entire boot full of garden waste again. As we drove it all to our local recycling centre, I couldn't help but notice this beautiful wicker chair. I asked the gentleman how much he wanted for it and he responded £2.

I got it home and cleaned it down, using hot soapy water and a brush.  Fixed all the wicker and rebound it into the metal frame using string on a needle, pulling it round the parts of wicker that were strongest and tied knots in the back  http://www.transtools.co.uk/hand-tools/painting-and-decorating/aerosol-spray-paints/rust-oleum-mode-cream-gloss-spray-paint-400ml?language=en&currency=GBP&gclid=CLDshMmxnbkCFY7LtAodDVcA2w

I then sprayed it in a cream spray paint suitable for wood and metal. I applied lots of thin coats to prevent the paint from running.

Once dry, I carried it up to my office and it looks wonderful along side my cream day bed! Very chuffed and it was a bargain!!!

Hope you like it xxx

Importance of Friends...

I only seem to make it through life with the help and support of my closest friends. Without them, I am not sure how I would cope with most day to day problems that life springs on me.

Just a quick message to my closest friends to say thank you for always being there for me and for making my life happier :-) lots of love xxx

Bank Holiday weekend - For free xx

This bank holiday weekend, try not to get too carried away with spending your whole months budget /wage straight away.

Enjoy the simple things that are free to do and still give you plenty of enjoyment. For me, it is literally the best thing in the world to take my dogs for a walk, walk along the beach or a bicycle ride with my partner.

Going out to lovely seaside town and just walking around, maybe having a spot of lunch or a ice cream.

Doing a nice diy project around the house is always fun, reinventing an old piece of furniture for the cost of a pot of paint gives me tonnes of satisfaction!

Try and get some fresh air and enjoy the countryside of East Anglia! The best things in life are free...

Why do I crave sugar in the afternoon?

Do you find in the afternoons you literally crave any form of sugar? Chocolates, sweets, fizzy drinks!! I need to kick that to the curb as my calorie counter app hates it when I tell it my afternoon snacks!! A little sugary sweet treat, just seems to brighten up my afternoon!!!

whoops... "I shall start eating healthy tomorrow" xxx

Bella and Ralphs evening treat...

Most evenings when we snuggle down to watch a film and all of our chores are done, Bella and Ralph get a rawhide shoe

to chew on, they go nuts for them.  Last night they got a larger shoe treat each as they both had baths and were very well behaved...

Cant wait to get home tonight to see them!

Thank you so much to Haven Vets...

Good morning,

Yesterday was very eventful and I was very grateful to have the help of my closest friends and Havens Vets, Great Yarmouth.

http://www.havenveterinary.co.uk/contact-us

At lunch time yesterday I went out to Gorleston high street with my friend for lunch and as we were driving back to work I noticed a pigeon in the middle of the road that looked injured. I got out of the car and approached him slowly and calmly, he was badly injured on his head. I picked him up firmly but gently and my friend drove my car back to office for me.

Once back at the office, my friend rushed in and got a lovely big box with soft tissue inside. Once we had settled him, he rested and looked a lot brighter towards the end of the day.

As I left the office and was heading home, I got stuck in a bunch of traffic, I thought there had been a car accident and when I approached the scene, there was a poor little black and white cat which was laying in the road and had been hit by a car.

I thought to myself, "I need to help him, but I have a pigeon in the car - what will I do?"

I had the pigeon in the front of the car, so I had no choice but to put the cat in the boot. I picked up the poor thing and he was in agony, drove him to Haven Vets and they were absolutely wonderful.

I walked into reception and they rushed out to the car with a crate and were able to take the cat and pigeon.

I just called them this morning to check how they were through the night. The lovely lady in in-patients was kind and helpful, explained they both made it through the night and were both stable.

I thanked them, but truly I could not thank them enough for what they have achieved. Just when I thought companies like that were money orientated and didn't actually care, they have just shown me that they do care and have done a wonderful job!

Thanks again to Haven Vets!

A huge thank you to my closest friends @dylananddaisy1 and @gemgem2413!!!! Couldn't of done it without them!

Loyal puppy love!!

It may just be me, but when I get home from being at the office all day, there is nothing better than being greeted by my pet chi chi's. They are so happy and excited to see me, they literally wag their tails so much that some days I wonder if they may take off!

Bella is very loyal and from the moment I get in, she is stuck to my ankle, following me everywhere!

Their love, is the best love and they make the best companions!! Very lucky girl to have two beautiful, healthy pups :-) xxx

Banish wrinkles!!

I bet all of you suffer from wrinkles, whether it is the odd laughter line, or the nice deep wrinkles that like to stay put on your face even after you have made the facial expression.

Either way, all of us research what is best to use to at least prevent them or try to remove them.

Years ago, I was watching an episode of Britain's next top model and saw that most of them said about using a pile/haemorrhoid cream on their wrinkles... I thought this sounded disgusting at first...

I soon went out and bought some preparation H :- http://www.boots.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?storeId=10052&catalogId=11051&productId=531&langId=-1&callingViewName&cm_mmc=Paid%20Search-_-Plusbox-_-Link-_-PreparationHClearGel25g&cm_mmc=pla-_-google-_-Boots+Beauty-_-Beauty+-+PLAs

...Best thing I ever bought and it really does help with my fine lines :-) Prevention is better than cure, so even if you do not have wrinkles yet, just smooth this on before you go to sleep and its like a thin, odourless gel, in the morning, your face feels smoother!

Bargain and top tip!! xxx

Do all dogs go mad for a taste of a cornish pasty?!

Happy Monday everyone,

So sorry that I have not blogged for a few days, I have had the joy of working 12 days straight and am somewhat exhausted!

Trying to grab a quick bite to eat and managed to find myself a true admirer so have decided to share!

Going to see Kickass 2 tonight with my Tesco vouchers, make sure you exchange your points for a trip to the cinema and save yourselves some pennies :-)

hope you all have a lovely evening too

How to do your own set of gel nails

Hi all,

I absolutely love my nails polished, every time I paint my nails I feel I wait for ever for them to dry and they chip within days.

I started to get my nails done in gel for approx £20 a set. This meant that I knew they looked good for about 2-3weeks. I couldn't justify having them done all the time at that price.

So I went on eBay and bought:
Redcarpet uv led gel polish -£10.99 (also available on Sally's website 3for2) http://www.salon-services.com/red-carpet-manicure-gel-polish-gel-polish-psystems178reddy/

And a uv gel finishing wipe £5.49 (also available from Sally's - star nails) http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Star-Nails-Nail-UV-Gel-Finishing-Wipe-100ml-/360613528153?pt=UK_Health_Beauty_Nails_Manicure_Pedicure_CA&hash=item53f63dc259

total spend = £32.96. per pot of polish you could get 100 sets @ approx. £30 per set = £3000.00!!

Watch my video on the tab on the top of my blog on how to do your own nails and save a fortune....

Enjoy xxxx

How to reinvent your garden shed..

I was thinking of how cute all these painted sheds are looking in DIY and garden stores this summer. You can pay anything from £150 plus for a painted garden shed. My one in the back garden had seen better days to be honest. But, I was glad I redecorated it.

I started by sanding it down and using my broom end to brush all the dirt and grit off of it. I went to b&q and bought two exterior wood paints in a light cream/grey and light grey/blue. I spent about £12.99 a pot, but overestimated the area I was painting so had plenty left over. The results are brilliant and my dirty old shed now stands proudly in my back garden. I hope you like it... Xxx
